Enrichment
Every child has a unique talent waiting to shine.
Enrichment helps them discover it.
Enrichment at Queen's Park Academy
At our school, enrichment opportunities play a vital role in developing confident, curious and well‑rounded children. Enrichment enhances the curriculum by providing pupils with meaningful experiences beyond daily lessons, helping them to discover new interests, talents and aspirations.
Our enrichment programme is designed to inspire, challenge and support every child, regardless of background or ability. Through a wide range of activities, visits and experiences, we aim to develop pupils’ character, creativity and independence.
Enrichment activities are carefully planned to complement learning in the classroom and to support pupils’ personal development. These include:
Educational visits and visitors – trips that bring learning to life and visitors who share expertise and real‑world experiences.

Clubs and extra‑curricular activities – including sport (and links to clubs outside of school), music, art, STEM, and mindfulness.

Themed curriculum days and weeks – such as science days, cultural celebrations and creative arts projects.

Leadership and responsibility roles – including school council, attendance ambassadors, eco warriors and lunchtime helpers.

Competitions and performances – opportunities to build confidence, teamwork and resilience.
We are pleased to offer a welcoming breakfast and after school club for our pupils. Designed to provide a safe, engaging and enjoyable environment, our clubs give children the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities, free play and learning experiences before and after the school day. For full details, including sessions, timings and booking information, please visit our Wraparound Care.

Enrichment opportunities help pupils to:
- Develop social, emotional and life skills
- Build confidence and self‑esteem
- Discover passions and talents beyond the classroom
- Strengthen cultural understanding and awareness
- Apply their learning in real‑life contexts
These experiences also support our commitment to inclusion, ensuring all children have access to opportunities that broaden horizons and raise aspirations.
We are committed to ensuring enrichment is accessible to every child. Activities are carefully planned and supported so that all pupils, including those with additional needs or disadvantages, can participate fully and benefit from every opportunity.
