As part of your child’s educational experience, we are committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of our pupils. In our diverse society, children need to develop an understanding of themselves, others and their community and how we can work together in harmony. They also need to know how to maintain healthy lifestyles and relationships with others.
We use the jigsaw programme to support the delivery of PSHE at QPA. Jigsaw is a comprehensive Programme for Primary PSHE including statutory Relationships and Health Education.
Jigsaw is taught through a spiral approach. It is progressive scheme giving children relevant learning experiences to help them navigate their world and to develop positive relationships with themselves and others.
Jigsaw consists of six half-term units of work (Puzzles), each containing six lessons (Pieces) covering each academic year.
